Side-mounted Sand Filter

The cylinder block is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic winding and molding, which is resistant to wear, corrosion and not easy to deform. The uniquely designed water distributor can evenly stabilize the water flow, and the culvert drainage system is highly efficient. Easy to install, easy to repair and maintain. The turbidity of the effluent is less than 2 degrees.

Side-mounted Sand Filter Principle:

A sand filter is filled with layers of quartz sand, arranged from fine at the top to coarse at the bottom. Water flows from top to bottom, and suspended solids are removed through three main mechanisms:
1.Surface filtration – particles are trapped on the upper layer, forming a thin filtering film.

2.Depth (penetration) filtration – particles are intercepted within the filter bed.

3.Contact filtration – suspended matter collides with sand grains and flocs, adhering through coagulation.

Together, these processes enable effective water purification.

To backwash: close the inlet valve, open the backwash valve, and reverse-flush the filter bed for 5-10 minutes until the drain water runs clear.
